The Between Generations project
of Girl Guides of PEI is best
represented in the interviews
completed by numerous Guides across the Island.
It was a great way to for the Guides of today to also connect with
the past Guides and help document the evolution
of Island Guiding
throughout the decades.

Was a Brownie in Rustico in 1st North Rustico Pack
•
Started in 1972 and met on Mondays at 4pm at the Lions
Hall
•
No Sparks back then.
•
They had inspection of their uniforms
•
Uniforms were brown dresses with a white and orange tie,
brown tights or knee socks and a tame
•
Her leaders were Marline Gallant, Rose Gallant and Gayle
Gallant
•
The badges have changed somewhat but there doesn’t
seem to be as much work to them now
• Dues were 10 cents
when I was Brownie
• Held Mother and Daughter banquet at the year end
• Took part in the Remembrance Day parade
• Camped at Fair Haven in tents, she remembers making the mess bags to
put your dishes in and also had duties to perform
• A Christmas service project was picking cranberries and helping make
cranberry sauce to give to Seniors in the community
